Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer, and director. She's been honored for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards and awards, among them her first Oscar for her movie Piano. She started her career by acting on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Acting has always been her interest. In fifth grade, she was Helen Keller. Her hearing loss was in one ear following a bout of mumps but did not let this disability dampen the determination of her to become an actress. As a young woman she took classes in drama at college, and then moved into New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could fulfill her dream. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the two collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. After that, she made the move into Los Angeles and tried to find the roles in films. In Swing Shift, she landed her first role as a character support. The actress has appeared in many television series, films and feature films throughout the course of her career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
